          ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS HELD AT THE MACKINAW MUNICIPAL BUILDING AT 7:30 P.M. 

The meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order at 7:30 p.m. 

This was a regularly scheduled meeting.

I.     ROLL CALL:

Present:  Board Chairman – Jerry Sweckard & Board Members – Chuck Lowery, Steve Powell Sr., Todd Smith, Ted Laidig, Wes Nunley and Jesse Watkins

Also Present: Recording Secretary Amanda Schmidgall, Zoning Officer Dallas Davis

II.     APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular Meeting – November 9, 2010

Nunley moved, seconded by Laidig to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of November 9, 2010 as submitted.Motion Carried. 

ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT:  No report given

III.     ZONING CODE ADDITIONS/UPDATES: 

A.     Subject of building permit fees for fencing; Zoning Board recommends that this be placed before the Village Board for approval and ordinance. Zoning Board members voted and agreed that the price should be $10.00 for a fence permit.

Lowery recommend seconded by Laidig to amend the resolution 06-03 establishing the fee to be charged pursuant to section 153.7 of the village code of the Village of Mackinaw. The fee recommended was $10.00 to obtain a fence permit. Motion Carried

IV.     OTHER BUSINESS: Watkins updated Zoning Board regarding lot that Casey’s is purchasing; at this time nothing new to update on.

V.     ADJOURNMENT @ 7:44 P.M.

There being no further business to come before the Board, Nunley moved, seconded by Smith to adjourn.  Motion Carried.
