Recreation Board Minutes
2010 Meeting Schedule

The Mackinaw Recreation Program serves all age groups in the
community by providing year-round activities for children through
baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, and basketball programs. Most
activities encompass children from first grade through eighth grade.
All activities include opportunities for parents to volunteer and enjoy
quality time with the children. The children's activities have been very
successful, and Mackinaw Recreation has a high level of participation.
This is one of the best year-round programs to be found among
communities in the area.
The Recreation Program also manages the Brock Lake Facility,
located off Route 9, west of the Village of Mackinaw. The public can fish
year-round, or enjoy a picnic in a pavilion. An old railroad bed provides
a flat walking trail adjacent to the hills, while
hiking trails wind through
the trees and over the hilltops providing a scenic view of the
recreational
complex and lake below.
For more information about the Recreation Program projects and
future offerings, see the
Mackinaw Recreation Development Projects
Master Plan (Click on “hiking trails” hyperlink above).
