          ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

      Tuesday – August 10, 2010

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS HELD AT THE MACKINAW MUNICIPAL BUILDING AT 7:30 P.M. 

 The meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order at 7:30 p.m. 

This was a regularly scheduled meeting.

I.                    ROLL CALL: Present:  Board Chairman – Jerry Sweckard  & Board Members – Ted Laidig, Steve Powell Sr., and Chuck Lowery

Also Present: Recording Secretary Nicole Chuich and Zoning Officer Dallas Davis

II.                 APPROVAL OF RECORDING SECRETARY:  Nicole Chuich

Laidig moved, seconded by Sweckard to approve the recording secretary for this meeting only as submitted.  Motion carried.

III.              APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular Meeting – July 13, 2010

Laidig moved, seconded by Powell to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of July 13, 2010 as submitted. Motion carried. 

IV.               ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT:  Zoning Officer, Dallas Davis presented the Board with a report of all building permits issued for 2010.  

Laidig moved, seconded by Powell to accept the Zoning Officer’s report as submitted.  Motion carried.

V.                  ZONING CODE ADDITIONS/UPDATES:  None

VI.               OTHER BUSINESS:  Zoning Board re-appointments were discussed. 

Laidig moved, seconded by Powell to accept the re-appointments as submitted by the Village Board.  Motion carried.

The Zoning Board discussed the annexation of the Kehlert/Vetter land hearing date.

Lowery moved, seconded by Laidig to set a hearing date for the annexation of the Kehlert/Vetter land for Tuesday, September 14, 2010.  Motion carried.

VI.      ADJOURNMENT @ 7:45 P.M.

There being no further business to come before the Board, Laidig moved, seconded by Lowery to adjourn.  Motion carried.
