MINUTES OF THE
REGULAR MEETING OF THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS HELD AT THE
Chairman Jerry Sweckard
called the meeting of the Zoning Board of
Appeals to order at 7:30
p.m. This was a regularly scheduled
meeting.
I.
ROLL CALL:
Present: 6-Chairman Jerry Sweckard, Board Members – Steve
Powell Sr., Todd Smith,
Chuck Lowery, Ted Laidig, and Wes Nunley
Also Present: Recording Secretary Austen Wood and Zoning
Officer Dallas
Absent: Jesse Watkins
II.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Smith moved, seconded by Lowery to approve the
minutes of
the regular meeting of September 8, 2009 as submitted.
Motion
carried.
III.
ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT:
Dallas Davis presented the Board with a report of all year-to-date building
permits for 2009.
Laidig moved, seconded by Smith to accept the Zoning Officer’s report as
submitted.
Motion carried.
IV.
SCHEDULE
OF SPECIAL USES: Concerning the addition of residential use on
the ground level of a commercial zoned building, the
Board discussed recommending the addition of special uses to the
Laidig moved, seconded by Nunley to recommend the addition of the
following to the special uses list of residential use on the ground level of a
commercial zoned building: must meet fire code, must have off-street parking (2
parking spaces per unit), must have 2 exits from each unit, a minimum square
footage must be met, and the units must meet the county health codes.
Motion carried.

There being no further business to come before the Board,
Nunley moved, seconded by Laidig to adjourn.
